We had the opportunity to show our Clients how to actively spend time in the Central Sport Center in Zakopane. Specifically for this occasion, we prepared a number of attractions at a beautifully situated ice rink and the surrounding area. On the rink, everyone could try an Olympic sport which is very rare in Poland – curling. The participants were supervised by instructors and had at their disposal the original stones and brooms characteristic of that sport. We also arranged an ice hockey rink with goals and invited the goalkeeper of the Podhale Nowy Targ team. Everyone could play at being a professional hockey player and try to beat a professional goalkeeper. For those who love ice skating we prepared a slalom and free skating rink. Next to the rink there was an airgun shooting stand, where one could test his or her accuracy.
For those who got cold there was a heated tent in the form of an igloo, in which our Guest could warm themselves up, listen to local music and have something to eat or drink. The menu contained many local highland delicacies!
As a conclusion of this excellent afternoon, we organized a hockey match between Poland and the Czech Republic, during which brooms were used instead of hockey sticks and normal shoes instead of skates. After a fierce game and a series of penalties, Poland finally won. The winners received a cup and champagne, all the others got commemorative medals.
